A three-year field experiment for determination of the green fodder yield of triticale varieties has been carried out on the experimental field of the Crop Science Department at the Agricultural University of Plovdiv. The experiment has been conducted in block method in 4 replications after predecessor sunflower. The study used the varieties Lasko - standard, Boomerang, Respect and Attila, created in the breeding center of triticale in Bulgaria - Dobruja Agricultural Institute, Gen. Toshevo. Triticale is grown under two levels of nitrogen fertilization - 60 and 180 kg ha-1 nitrogen. As a result of the experiment, the main structural elements of the yield and some quality parameters of the plants have been established, depending on the variety and the nitrogen fertiliszation level. For the three years of the study, the average yield of green mass of all triticale varieties, fertilized with 180 t ha-1 nitrogen is higher than the lower fertilizer rate. Under the influence of both fertilization rates, the variety Lasko has proven as less productive than all other varieties created in the Dobruja Agricultural Institute, Gen. Toshevo, Bulgaria.
