The paper presents the pedological and agrochemical study elaborated on the territory of Dăgăneşti commune, Prahova county, it is intended for the foundation of the county (national) soil-land monitoring system for agricultural areas. The paper inventories soil resources, identifies and describes the limiting or restrictive factors of land use for agricultural production. The influence of relief on pedogenesis is generally manifested by altitude and, on small surfaces, by slope. In the presented case, the relief has little direct influence due to the morphological characteristics of the terrain: low altitudes and slopes, lack of exposure. Knowing the nature and intensity of the limiting factors of agricultural production is absolutely appropriate in the situation where the decision is made to reduce or eliminate their negative effects.
